Community selected design for 2015 Malverne 5K run

As in previous years, the community had a chance to select a T-shirt design for Malverne 5K run. This year, the design will be navy blue screen-printed on a bright orange shirt.

Between September 17th and 23rd, we got 227 responses. Majority selected Design A (pictured here) as the design they want to wear. Thank you all for you participation—artists and judges. Without you it would not be a contest and fun.

George Matthaei did it again. Congratulations George! Three in a row. We’ll ask the author for the actual artwork file and reward him at the 5K run on Sunday, October 18th. He offered to volunteer, too. Say hello when you run by him at mile one when he’ll be announcing the split time. (This year, the time will synchronized with the timer). We encourage all to help us at the registration desk, or as course marshals, or simply come and cheer on runners and walkers.

Registration update. Visit the Registration page for options. On day of the run, the registration and bib pickup are located at the high school gym, but the kids run (at 8:30) and start of the 5K run (9:00) are located across the street from the high school. We are looking forward to see you—running or walking.

  1. I think the footprint design is something a little different from what I’m used to seeing. I like it allot.
