August 16–31, the subscribers to this site, the running community and their friends, had an opportunity to select the design theme of their choice. To the left, you can see the design that gathered the most votes. It was submitted by George Matthaei, a Lynbrook resident. Congratulations, George! (After he was notified, he disclosed that his wife now feels obligated to sign up).
After we receive the original artwork from the author, we’ll size it to the T-shirt dimensions and also use the design as a theme on collateral promotional materials. On October 6, the run organizers, representatives of Malverne Educational and Fitness Foundation, will present the author a check for $100 at the award ceremony.
We would like to express our gratitude to the authors who submitted their artwork and also to all who participated in selecting the design. It wouldn’t be fun without you. Our word to the authors of the runner-up designs: Please, save your artwork until the next year. You never know.
