  1. Is the run/walk stroller friendly? I am interested in walking the 5k and would love to bring my 2 year old. Can someone please help, thank you!!

    • Yes, the walk is stroller friendly. The course is located in a flat, residential area and goes through the streets of Malverne, Lynbrook, and Lakeview. Word of caution: we don’t allow jogging with strollers.

  2. great idea – combining the two races especially that fly with the owls is a 4 miler – it will motivate 5km runners to go for 4 == yeah !!! thanks
also looking forward to the kids being included _ my kids and I will be participating !! Amitha Heffron

    • You are right. And when you consider training for the Malverne run and continuing till mid-November, it represents 3 months of serious physical activity. Should we consider a Trifecta?

      • Why not ? Maybe a midnight run like the NYC new years eve run or even our own version of the NYC Marathon for those who didn’t get into the lottery ( me – this year ) ! Lets go for the trifecta !!!

        • I am sorry to hear about the lottery. Especially now, when they got rid of the rule that after 3 rejections you were automatically in. The only sure ways to get in are the “9+1” and raise funds for a charity.
