The Malverne Educational and Fitness Foundation (MEFF)
Request for proposal for a T-shirt design
The MEFF is a non-profit organization supporting educational and fitness projects in the Malverne Union Free School District, NY. One of its fundraising activities is organization of a 5K run/walk each year in October using a different T-shirt design. In the past, the design contest was open to local youth only. This year, the contest is open without restrictions.
The artwork must be original, use 2 colors that will stand out on the white T-shirt. It must be suitable for the traditional screen print (no gradients). The artwork will incorporate the following text: Malverne 5K, 2013. The artwork in 500×500 pixels .jpeg format file will be submitted to Jan Kasal, contest coordinator, using the Contact menu. Additional questions can be directed there as well.
Rules and Time Frame
Deadline for submission is by 8 p.m. (ET) on August 15th, 2013. The artwork (jpeg) will be displayed here on malvernerun.org website, and will be judged by former run participants. Their votes will determine the winning artwork. The results will be announced on August 31st, 2013 on the malvernerun.org website. The author of the winning artwork will be asked to submit the artwork via email in editable Adobe Illustrator file format with text converted to outline. The artwork will become a property of the MEFF and the author will be rewarded $100.
